First of all, I would like to let everyone know that all of us are safe in London. Some of the students went to Paris a couple of weeks ago but all are back in London studying for there final exams and projects. We are into our last week in London. Eleven students will be going to Dublin to study at The Gaiety School of Acting for two weeks. The Gaiety is Ireland's premiere acting school. I will post a blog from there on our Irish adventures. Other students will be travelling or going back to the States. We have had a great semester here in London. Once our play, Some Americans Abroad which by the way was an incredible success, was over we started seeing more plays and musicals in London. Here are just a few.
AVENUE Q AT THE RICHMOND THEATRE
CATS
GYPSY STARRING IMELDA STAUNTON AT THE SAVOY
THE HAIRY APE AT THE OLD VIC
KINKY BOOTS
LES MISERABLES (EXCELLENT CAST)
MATILDA THE MUSICAL
MEASURE FOR MEASURE AT YOUNG VIC
MEMPHIS (WHICH HAS CLOSED)
MISS SAIGON
ORESTEIA BY THE ALMEIDA THEATRE
one of our favorites
PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS AT NATIONAL THEATRE
THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT AT NEW WIMBLEDON THEATRE
TICKING AT TRAFALGAR STUDIO
WICKED
WOMAN IN BLACK
Other shows we have seen have been Billy Elliot, Beautiful, The Carol King Musical, Showstoppers, the Improv Musical, A Winter's Tale with Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh and many more. The Page to Stage class this past week went to see Medea at the Almeida Theatre. It was the last part of the Greek Trilogy the theatre did. It was just an ok production. Many of the interesting things in the new script were not it the production which was a detriment to the production. At the National Theatre we saw D. H. Lawrence's Husbands and Sons which was excellent. It was a combination of three of his stories meshed together. The last show we saw for the class was Waste a political drama. We will be discussing these two plays during our last class on Monday. Next blog will be our Scotland Trip!
THAT'S ALL FOLKS !!!

Thank you for the timely post. This has been an amazing semester for my daughter and I have enjoyed seeing all of the activities on this blog. On our regular updates with our daughter she has told us so much that she has learned while being in London. To Gary, thank you for all of your work with the students and showing them a new world. I urge you all to be alert, aware and diligent in tthe last few weeks and look forward to your homecoming.
Signed a very grateful Mom!
